Was excited to try SusieCakes since I heard good things. The best thing about it is the staff, they are great, polite and professional. Shop is clean. The main reason for going are the baked goods, and this is where the mark was missed for me. We ordered cupcakes to go, no full cakes. The icing on the cupcakes was very good, not too sweet and spot on in flavor. The cake part was semi-dry, crumbly, fell apart easily. No better than a box cake mix you make at home, and for $35, not worth it. Maybe the full cakes are good, but I won't be going back to find out.

Amazing cake! Ordered for my sisters baby shower and we got sooo many compliments on the decoration and taste. No better chocolate cake in Dallas.

On March 5th, I visited SusieCakes Lakewood to order a gender reveal cake for a very special and emotional occasion for a dear friend’s family. I had the pleasure of working with Nevo, who showed such patience, kindness, and compassion as I explained the situation—it truly meant more than I can express. When we returned that Saturday to pick up the cake, the store manager, Penge, shared that Nevo had told her he wished he could personally pay for it. The team at SusieCakes then chose not to charge us—a level of generosity and empathy we never expected from people who had never met us. I tried Susie cakes for the first time today, it was delicious. I bought two of their standard cupcakes for about $10 which is typically how much you would spend at any other bakery competing with Susie Cakes. The cake itself is very spongy and the icing is light and airy with a good amount of sweetness. Im not sure why some reviewers are saying the cake is dry, unless they are putting it in the fridge for a snack later that would make more sense. But the cakes are anything but dry. I worked in a bakery as a cake decorator and was very impressed with Susie Cakes. The staff is always so jolly as well. The cherry on top to everything is that a friend of mine has met Susie herself at a convention and had all good things to say about her. In my opinion that makes a place even better when the owner is a sweet and positive person! 🩵

the peanut butter sandwich cookie is way too sweet for me. need some chunks of something peanuts 🥜 or something to break up the sweetness Its so sweet in thirsty 😩 the carrot 🥕 cake i bought for my mom i have no feedback yet
